Yfood

Overview

Yfood is a healthy alternative to a meal for when life gets a bit hectic. Smart food is what they call it themselves. We thought Yfood would be a great product to showcase what we could do by creating a spec ad from start to finish. We wrote a concept about a young woman who overslept for her job interview. She is in a race against the clock to still be on time but also looks representable. Luckily for her, breakfast isn't a thing she has to worry about.

The process

We were responsible for this project from start to finish. That means starting by writing a concept and a director's treatment that lines out exactly what we will do and what it needs to feel like. After that, we set things in motion. Make a schedule for the shoot, create a shotlist, buy decorations, and set up the location for the shoot. We called upon a DOP, his first AC, and a gaffer for the shoot itself. We are happy to show that we can produce something great with a relatively small team.
